A little history

We have embarked on a little research that will be added to the app in the next few months. While updating the terms database, we realised that there are a number of points in history that have formed the print or repro timeline. For this reason, we are considering adding a history section that outlines these points and giving a little background to the terms and techniques.

The latest update to the terms database sees nearly 100 revisions and amends. Additional images have been added too.

Revisions for iOS 4

We have been busy updating the imagery for the app to allow for the higher resolution of the iPhone 4 and iPad. This is actually quite time-consuming, given the amount of images we have, and we wish we had pre guessed Apple on this one. Still, we live and learn. We are also adding more reference images and information.
We are looking at a few possibilities with iPad compatibility, which is likely to be one app for both.

Image issues

We are aware that a few images break their image frame for a few entries and appear much bigger than they should. We will be issuing an update in a few days that will fix these, as well as include a few other improvements.

Version 1.2 now in AppStore

We submitted the latest version of aboutDesign yesterday. After only one day, Apple has reviewed and passed the update onto the AppStore. That’s the quickest review we’ve seen so far. Hopefully you’ll like it.

The update includes over 100 updates including refreshed descriptions and new images to support entries.
